I have a wealth of experience in many areas of mortgage work and have dealt with various scenarios in almost 30 years of giving advice. I firmly believe that understanding the clients’ needs and priorities are paramount. No matter what their level of understanding is with regards to the mortgage process, my outcome is always the same: that every one of my clients are happy and fully understand the process they have gone through.

I have held several advisory and management roles over my 30 year career in Financial Services from being an adviser for Pearl Assurance, where I originally trained, to being an IFA with the Woolwich Building society and now a Whole of Market Mortgage and Protection Adviser and Area Manager for CDMB.
I began my advisory career providing advice to clients in the comfort of their own homes looking at their savings, protection and investment needs before moving into management.
I then furthered my career by moving into the bancassurance arena with the Woolwich Building Society where I became an Independent Financial Adviser helping clients with their mortgages, protection and complex investment needs.
After a few years, I decided I wanted the flexibility of working for myself and created my own company in 2006. From there, I was asked to join a company called Charles Derby Mortgage Bureau Ltd formally known as Lima Financial services where I have enjoyed giving advice for the last 13 to 14 years.
In addition, I oversee a team of advisers within Charles Derby Mortgage Bureau for the London Metropolitan region which gives me great satisfaction as it gives me the opportunity to train and pass on my wealth of experience to new and upcoming advisers.
I thoroughly enjoy meeting new clients and advising my existing clients which range from professionals and commercial companies to first-time buyers.
I find it most satisfying and I strongly believe we should all enjoy what we do. I like helping my customers purchase their first or second homes, protect themselves from debt and ownership worries and ensure they are setup for whatever life may bring.
First and foremost, I am a family man and enjoy spending quality time with my wife and twin boys. In addition, I enjoy travelling around the world, where I get to experience new and varied cultures, golf, fishing and watching Arsenal play. Lastly, when I can sit back and relax, which doesn’t happen often, I enjoy a few drinks in my very own bar at the end of my garden listening to some Motown!
